The IB program is a rigorous and balanced educational program that addresses the intellectual, social, emotional and physical well-being of students, and is respected by prestigious universities around the world. The Ibn Gabirol Center, Colegio Estrella Toledano establishes with its students the development of learning approaches: thinking skills, research, social skills, self-management, as well as pedagogical principles on which the Diploma Program is based, based on the inquiry focused on conceptual understanding. It takes place in local and global contexts and focuses on effective teamwork and collaboration, and is guided by assessment (formative and summative). Thus, the center aims to train citizens through "education for a better world" that the IB put forward fully coincides with our own ideology as a Jewish educational center that promotes the training of young people involved in repairing the world under the mandate of Tikun Olam.
The goal of the International Baccalaureate is to train young people who are caring, informed and eager for knowledge, capable of contributing to creating a better and more peaceful world, within the framework of mutual understanding and intercultural respect.
The IB methodology responds to an analytical model of learning in which the young are active participants in the educational process.
Our teaching team, specifically trained to teach the IB Program, are specialized in each area taught (economists, lawyers, chemists ...) as well as great applicators of new technologies and are benchmarks for their students. Linguistic politic
Learning different languages is the main tool for oral and written communication. At the Ibn Gabirol School, we understand the development of communicative competence as the key to access the rest of learning. A correct use of the language itself allows us to interpret reality and organize thought, which is why it is constituted as a key and essential element in the development of students. For this reason, we understand that multilingual learning drives and makes possible the transversal development of the rest of the skills.
Ibn Gabirol Pre-IB
Our Pre IB Diploma Program is aimed at 4th ESO (10th.grade) students who wish to begin their IB Diploma studies in the following academic year. It serves to prepare a solid foundation from which students can begin their IB Diploma Program with the assurance that they are prepared for future challenges.
Pre-IB Support
The PRE-IB Tutor Role is launched. A 12th. year student will help integration. A 'buddy system' in order to give the program greater visibility.
The IB Coordinator has responsibility for the Pre-IB program. He will supervise the selection of subjects, supervise the academic progress of 4th ESO and give support to the group.

Small groups, individualized treatment
The student receives individualized treatment adapted to their personal characteristics and academic circumstances. Personalized tutoring is one of the pillars on which our teaching methodology is based.
